Ryan Hines
Independent Creative Director
New York, NY

Hello! I’m a designer and brand strategist working with clients in culture and media. I help organizations distill their essential character into systems that communicate clearly and genuinely across every touchpoint.

Previously, I was Executive Creative Director at The New York Times, where I built and oversaw multidisciplinary teams spanning brand, editorial, product, social, licensing, and marketing. I also led the Times’s rebrand and redesign of Wirecutter — for which I received a Publisher’s Award — and was instrumental to its integration in the Times brand portfolio.

I have worked with global news and financial organizations, local arts and environmental non-profits, artists, museums, hotels, and a variety of people, businesses, and situations in between.

Working on something new? Say hello!
